Ingredients:
3 cups (3×250 ml) of fine coconut
4 cups (4×250 ml) rolled oats
250 ml of brown stoneground flour
½ cup (125 ml) of brown sugar
½ teaspoon (2.5ml) salt
1 teaspoon (5 ml) of ground cinnamon
1 cup (250 ml) of melted butter
45 ml (3 tablespoons) of raw honey
10 ml of baking soda mixed in ¼ cup (60ml) of milk
Recipe yields 72 squares
Method:
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
Mix all the dry ingredients together.
Add the honey to the melted butter and add to the mixture.
Now add the baking soda and milk mixture to the above.
Press the mixture into 2 standard, non-stick baking trays.
Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
Cut into squares and let it cool down.
